starting problem with my push awn mower?
5 horse riggs and statton primer bulb would stay in when pushed so replaced now primer works great now will not prime gas in carb so replaced pick up tube that goes in tank was told they have check ball in tube but theydon'tt have one so cleaned carb with carb spray and ran fine wire throu vanes repaced 2 gaskets that fit under carb still will not prime gas can hear sucking in tank when bulb is pushed anybody have any ideas why its not priming gas to carb
The problem lies with the gas lines from the tank to the bulb or the carburetor. If the tubes are new (you replaced them yourself), then while replacing the carburetor you pulled the tube off the tank connecting nozzle. I know it is a fiddle to do, but you are going to have to release the carburetor again and refit the hose. This is a simple operation but fiddly. You will find I an correct. Been there, don that, so to speak.
Never spray a carburetor with anything other than B12 or SeaFoam. Actually, if you immerse the carburetor in SeaFoam for a few hours it will dissolve (internally) the gum residue in the fine fuel lines inside the carburetor. I am not sure what you mean by vanes. What are vanes??
