Lately, with the emergence of solar power, there are also new pool skimmers that are solar power operated. Such equipment is known to be the solar powered robotic pool skimmer. It functions the same as the traditional skimmers. It is not installed on any part of your pool, but floats instead. All you have to do is leave it floating unto your pool and then it gathers unwanted debris such as leaves, papers, candy wrappers, bugs and more. Floating it on the pool side is advisable. Just don't have it float anywhere at the center of your pool otherwise it may destruct those who are swimming around. Since it is solar power operated, once the robot feels itself that it needs to be charged, it moves around the pool and looks for a spot where it can detect sunlight. Once recharged, this pool skimmer is ready to work back again.
No matter what type of pool skimmer you have, what I am stressing out here for you is to remind you that you should have a clean swimming pool. Cleanliness is very essential most especially when your pool is for public usage. As the owner, the protection of everyone using your pool is your accountability. Whatever happens to your visitors is directly your obligation. when I turn my pool pump on the pressure goes straight up and when I shut it off water comes out of my skimmer?
When I turn on my pool pump the pressure goes straight to 30 and I am getting no pressure. When I shut it off water comes pouring out of my skimmer basket. I would appreciate some feedback on fixing this
Your system is an open system with openings at the intake end (bottom drain and skimmer baskets) and at the return end where the water goes back into the pool. However, between the openings, there are no openings and the only way the water should be able to move is if the pump is pumping. Therefore, for water to move while the pump is off, there must be a leak in the system for air to get in which would allow the water to flow.
With that in mind, for water to be flowing backwards from the pump to the skimmers (water should only flow toward the pump), there must be an air leak that would allow the water to reverse flow.
Your job is to find that air leak. The air leak could be at any valve or it could be a crack in a pipe. The valves on the return side of the filter are under pressure. If they are not squirting water, they are OK. However, the valves on the intake side of the pump (water coming from the pool to the pump) are not under pressure. You should be able to turn the pump off and turn the valves so the direction of flow can be reversed. If you can do this, do it and see if the pumps leak under pressure. If a pipe is also cracked on the intake side of the pump, it will also display a leak.
Regardless, be certain that all valves are in the correct position and are not leaking air.

Make your Pool Water Clear & Clean
When you have a pool, you are always worrying about the debris, leaves and dirt entering your uncovered pool. In return you will always clean your pool.
