Different Kinds of Saws
There are different kinds of saws. These tools are helpful in different cutting needs.
Woodworks and metal works commonly involve different methods of cutting. There are tools used to help in the different cutting needs. These are collectively called saws. But there are many different kinds of saws, just as there are many different kinds of materials and cutting methods used.
These saws are distinct from one another in terms of the primary functions they serve. It makes cutting works easy and done in the fastest time possible. Take a look at the different kinds of saws.
Band Saw
A band saw can be used in wood or metal. It has a blade made of a band of metal. One edge of the blade has teeth that cut through the material being worked on. It can be operated with a motor, electricity, water or steam. It is best used for cutting irregular and curved shapes, but could also work on basic straight cuts. The smoothness of the curved cuts produced depends largely on the size of the width of the band.
Circular Saw
A circular saw has a round metal blade with teeth on the perimeter. It runs on a motor that causes the blade to spin continuously. It is then applied to a working surface like wood to cut as desired. Handheld circular saws are portable and handy. The heavy duty types are more bulky and usually fixated in one place.
Circular saws can cut wood, plastic or metal. It could cut in a straight motion and is very efficient in producing narrow slots.
Scroll Saws
A scroll saw is the tool you need to accurately cut along curves. It can be operated on electricity or pedaled. It is similar to a band saw but just differs on how it is used. A band saw cuts through a material by sliding it on the surface. A scroll saw is used with repeated up and down motions.
A scroll saw is very handy and requires a small space only. It is very convenient in small and limited working spaces, like a kitchen or backyard.
Table Saw
A table saw (or a saw bench) is commonly used by professionals only. It is a very large cutting equipment and is usually fixated in one place. Basically, there is a cutting blade (usually a circular saw) mounted on top of a table or any working surface. The material to be cut is worked around the blade.
The table provides stable support during the cutting process. It is important to fix it on the ground to avoid kickbacks and vibrations. It can cut metal, wood or plastic.
Miter Saw
A miter saw is basically for making accurate cross cuts. This is the tool best used for framing and molding. There is a circular blade that spins fast when the motor is running. The blade works its way on the working material. The precision of the cut largely depends on the controlled motion of the user.
Radial Arm Saw
A radial arm saw is used specially for making straight and rip cuts. A circular blade with teeth is mounted on a sliding bar. The wood or metal to be cut is placed under the bar. The blade will slide from left to right and back to cut through the material.
A radial arm saw is more of a professional tool. It is dangerous to be handled by a beginner. It could cut lumbers with great precision, at identical widths. It could also make more complex cuts like compound miters accurately and at a lesser time.

I saw this bar soap at a store and it only had liek 7 ingredients....is that better or less affective??
ok i'll try to make it more clear
i went to longs drug the other day and i saw bar soaps(different kinds) and i looked at the ingredient and they were only like natural and didnt' have those long words like you would see on other products(neutrogena aveeno etc)
would those kind of soap be better on skin?(i dont' think that makes sense....i mean like clear up acne, etc)
I don't think the number of ingredients would give an indication how effective it'd be on ur skin.
As long as the soaps are made via a 'cold process' method, it should have plenty of glycerine left in the soap which are great for the skin. Glycerines are natural humectants that help the skin to maintain its moisture found in most natural handmade soaps.
In your case, I'd use handmade soaps that are free from all sorts of chemical addictives or fragrance oils as these are sometimes why ppl get dry and irritated or allergic skin problems.

Important Accessories of Table Saws
Table saw accessories such as splitters, inserts and stacked dados make your woodwork jobs easier. Every accessory has a specific function.
When using table saws, there are useful accessories that make your job easier and safer.
Take for example an infeed. This table saw accessory is used in assisting sheets of plywood or long boards. Before, roller stands seemed as the mere option, but at present, there are several infeed units available commercially, proving to be easier and more efficient to use.
Using an outfeed is also useful. Since table saws are being used for ripping sheets of plywood or long boards, this accessory makes tasks easier and safer. Although most are built-in shops, there are those available commercially.
It is common for table saws to have fence guides that run from the table's front portion up to the rear. This is actually parallel to the blade's cutting plane. The fence as well as the blade's distance is adjustable, determining where the cut can be made on the work piece.
These fence guides are more referred to as rip fences, which pertain to its purpose as a guiding tool for the work piece during the rip cut process. Although it is common for table saws to come with a rip fence, there are now high-end saws sold without any fence. This means, the user can select the type of fence he may find suitable for the task.
Also useful are the hold down accessories. These are the vertical versions of feather boards. If a table saw's circular saw blade is not held down, it can pick-up pieces of wood. It is attached onto a fence by either clamps or magnets. There is another type which uses wheels placed onto a spring-loaded mechanism, pushing down the work piece as being guided way past the blades.
Meanwhile, to keep some wood against a rip fence, feather boards do the trick. They are either a set of springs or only one spring is used. These are then held onto the miter slot by clamps, expansion bars or magnets of high strength.
A sub fence is a wood piece clamped onto the rip fence, allowing dado set to cut right into it. Then, the rabbet gets cut by the dado blade.
Crosscut sleds are basically used for holding the work piece onto the blade via a 90 degree fixed angle. This will enable repeated precise cuts at an angle commonly used. The runner then slides inside the miter slot, guided by the sled. Although this device can be purchased, it is usually customized in a shop.
A table normally has either 1 or 2 slots that would run from the front up to the back, parallel to the blade's cutting plane. Miter grooves or slots are used to guide and position either the crosscut fence, crosscut sled or miter gauge. This is then set at about 90o onto the cut of the blade's plane, resulting to right angle cuts onto the work piece. You can also adjust this miter gauge for cuts that are at an accurately controlled angle.
Tenon Jigs are devices that vertically hold the work piece. This enables cuts that would come across up to the end. It also forms tenons. Although this can be purchased, it is normally shop made. A fence or miter slot is responsible in guiding tenon jigs.
Most table saws possess changeable inserts within the table where the blade would project. Inserts that can be purchased are generally made from metal. However, Zero-Clearance inserts are made from saw able material like wood or plastic. Once this Zero-Clearance insert is inserted initially, the blade rises within the insert and a slot is created. This ensures that the slots do not have gaps surrounding the blade.
It is these Zero-Clearance inserts that prevents tear-out by offering some support for the wood fibers located adjacent to the blade, promoting very clean cuts. There are other inserts which can be created or bought like the dado insert.
Table saws manufactured for the United States market are basically compatible with stacked dado blade sets. This type of kit has 2 outer blades as well as several interior chip cutters used for cutting dados of whichever width. These sets of stacked dados are available at either 8-inch or 6-inch diameters. For saws having 1 ½ HP or lesser HP, 8-inch sets of stacked dados are not recommendable.
Splitters or riving knives are vertical projections situated at a saw blade's rear portion. It can either be a fin or pin. It is also has a narrower width compared to the blade. However, it is situated in line directly with the mentioned blade. It is the splitter that hinders the rotation of the work piece being cut, preventing kickback. Hence, pawls can be incorporated by splitters. Pawls are mechanisms having teeth that are designed for biting into the wood, and thus, preventing kickback.
Although many deem splitters unnecessary, most injuries are caused by the usage of saws in the absence of a splitter. It is a safety device when using table saws, particularly for the less experienced users. Thus, regardless of the experience, accidents from its absence lead to very serious injuries or even death.
There are various forms of splitters which would include its part as a blade guard for the saw. It can also be a vertical fin or pin attached onto an insert. Splitters can be purchased or made from metal, wood or plastic material.
