I am putting Colorodo River Rock in my flower beds for decoration. How do I know how much rock to purchase? I have been told that one ton of rock will cover 100 sq. ft. two inches deep. This sounds like a lot. I have 328 sq. ft. to cover so I need to know how much to buy since I am buying in bulk.
I would get 3 1/2 tons then. You can use the extra to rise up one of the rows on the flower beds near the door of the house.
