How do plants grow
There are close to a half of a million different species of plants around the world. Plants are amazing organisms which can live both underwater and on land. All plants have to survive some sort of harsh conditions in their environments to grow and thrive. The plant family encompasses trees, flowers, bushes, shrubs, vines, herbs, moss, seaweeds and green algae. If you are interested in gardening or any other plant related activities, it is wise to learn how plants grow. Every different species of plant will have different requirements for its care. Some plants will require less sunlight, some will require more, some plants will have different water requirements than others and so on.
If you are interested in knowing how plants grow, you will have to first look at propagation. Certain plants will have both male and female parts and others will not. However, they will all depend on wind, bees and other insects to help them with both pollination and fertilization. Some plants propagate by sending out runner shoots from the main plant. Other plants will create bulbs, buds or suckers to propagate new plants through the soil to other locations. Some pine trees will only release their seeds after a large fire. These pine trees require the heat to open their cones and seeds. Humans, of course, also help with the propagation of plants by splicing for cress breeding new growths on older plants.
Plants depend on the nature of their environment to survive. They also depend on other living things to survive. All of them need sunlight except for the plants that live in the deep parts of oceans and seas. Many underwater plants get the nutrients that they need from the water. A plant's food comes from water and soil. It will also create food and energy through photosynthesis. Photosynthesis occurs from the intake of sunlight. Soil will provide plants with the minerals that they need. Plants require a stable balance of natural processes to grow properly.

How long does it take to grow an organic tomato plant indoors?
I am doing an experiment for a science fair project to see if organic plants grow the same and have the same results as a regular plant with pesticides, but i only have a five weeks to complete it.
You can get some pretty nice tomato plants in five weeks, maybe even a bloom or two, but no tomatoes. your plants will be about the size that you would set out in the Spring. I don't think that you are going to see any differences in 5 weeks. You likely won't need any pesticides in that time span. You might try something like beans that would grow faster. Five weeks is not a lot of time to work with plants.

Led Plant Lights - A Cent Percent Benefiting System For Plant Growing
When the need of the hour was realized scientists began researching how efficiently it can be met. And the need of the hour today is increasing the green cover and for this they have come up with the latest technology called the LED (Light Emitting Diodes). From this has developed the LED Plant Lights. With the use of these LED Plant Lights we can now grow all types of plants without the restriction of the limited sunlight. Greenhouses have highly advantaged from this technology. Earlier, no doubt they were using other technologies but with the advent of LED Plant Lights things have changed considerably. This is purely because of the efficiency of this LED Plant Lights and the technology used in it. They are beneficial in many ways. They produce the right colors that are required for the plant to grow. Wondering where does the matter of color come from and that it is only sunlight that the plants require? In that case, for your information, no doubt plants need sunlight, but it is not exactly the entire sunlight that it takes. It absorbs only a certain colored light from the sun, and this is done through the chlorophyll. The chlorophyll absorbs only the red and the blue colored light, and goes through the photosynthesis process. Now, this is what this new technology is providing. These LED Plant Lights are set in such a manner that the light emitting from it falls on the plants which in turn will absorb it and go through its normal process of photosynthesis and further growth. In this case, this technology is so advanced that these LED Plant Lights emit the right color and in the right wavelength which is gleefully absorbed by the plant. This helps in the plants to grow faster and in the right manner. The other key strengths of these lights are that it does not require any supporting ballasts that are normally the source of heavy sound. Moreover, though it emanates powerful light, it doesn't emanate high amount of heat. This creates a quite favorable and cool atmosphere that is most welcomed by the plants as well as the humans. As an additional bonus, these require the least maintenance and thus the ongoing running cost comes to almost nil. This, along with the faster and higher yield that the plants are going to give using these LED Plant Lights, result in faster recovery of the investment made into this lighting system. And very soon you begin to reap the benefits at an unimaginable level. A point that needs to be understood while observing Led plant lights is that we should not see how bright it is, rather what intensity it reflects. This is because of the fact that brightness has no relationship with intensity, at least when it comes to plant growing and specifically these LED lights. In this case the wavelength needs to be seen. And more so, the lights are normally not as bright as one would think but not to doubt about their effectiveness as their high demand in the market is itself a real proof for it.
