ummm...FYI if you put nylon in the dryer it melts. I can't put it in the dryer or the washer.
You probably have to sew some tucks in it.Try two in the crotch basting lightly all across. If this issn't enough also tuck in the side seems, tuck both edges and then baste lightly all across.

Displaying American Flags
The Stars and Stripes is the apex of American patriotism and aligns all 50 states, no matter how different, into one entity. To express your patriotism, you may decide to display an American flag on your property. In other instances, American flags can be seen flying outside of government buildings, schools, and even trade unions. The Flag specifies practices for displaying, taking down, and disposing of the Stars and Stripes, and while not following them is not illegal on a national level, individual states may have their own rules regarding the treatment of American flags. If you want your flag to last as long as possible indoors or outdoors, what are the options for flying the Stars and Stripes?
Although the same size and with the same composition, not all American flags are designed equally. As a general rule, flags regularly kept outdoors should be made out of a sturdier material, one that will not fray or fade when the flag is flown every day for several years. Indoor flags, on the other hand, are not continuously exposed to the elements. Although indoor flags may fade when placed near light, such as an open window, they do not need to hold up to rain and wind.
If you want to purchase a flag for your home, school, or building to fly on an outdoor pole, nylon and polyester are the most durable materials for consistent outside use. Aside from the material, however, construction is a key factor in having a long-lasting American flags. Printed nylon or polyester will fade quickly. Sewn flags, on the other hand, are composed of individual red and white stripes and a blue field all sewn together. The solid-color individual pieces of fabric take longer to fade and fray from the outdoors.
The wind will not whip an indoor flag, and the material will not be directly exposed to UV rays. No matter if you decide to have an American flag inside your home or inside an auditorium, you do not need to find the strongest material available. Printed flags are ideal for indoor uses. Attractive and displaying the traditional stars and stripes, printed American flags are typically made out of a single piece of polyester or cotton.
Aside from full-size banners, American flags come in small, hand-held sizes for celebrations, parades, and ceremonies. Much like indoor banners, stick flags do not need to have the strongest construction. Even when printed, however, such small flags need to display the stars and stripes accurately and need to stay attached to the stick.
