The benefits of decking your garden
Garden decking is exceptionally versatile; it can be used to overcome issues that make landscaping difficult, to enhance the features of a garden, to add practicality or to extend your house into your garden. Here are some of the major benefits of decking your garden:
A solution for sloping and uneven ground
Garden decking can counteract uneven ground and sloping sites. Building on stilts and using steps and different levels will give the impression of uniformity and will make your garden much easier to navigate.
Unlimited Design Possibilities
There is a plethora of decking materials available and add-on features such as pergolas, balustrades and privacy screens. Adding a deck allows a whole host of flexible interesting design possibilities to your landscaped garden.
Flexibility
Garden decking can easily be combined with other garden features like water features, statues, rock gardens and planting to achieve a garden centrepiece.
Ease of Handling
Garden decking is easier to handle than hard landscaping materials like paving and bricks. It is lighter too, which means it is much easier to handle, especially if you are not experienced in any construction trade., and good therefore for raised areas.
Versatility
Decking can be used for a wide variety of uses, the most popular of which is extending living space outdoors to create the illusion of a larger property. Decking provides a home with a socialising area and is perfect for properties on riverbanks or even for caravans.
Garden decking allows you to create a practical and attractive garden design that provides additional space for entertaining and socialising without a large outlay. Why not get a quote from your local landscape gardener and see how much it would cost to install decking in your garden? It could even add value to your property!

How much should I pay for a 2 bedroom house in Chiswick, W. London?
My girlfriend and I are looking to buy our first house in Chiswick, W. London and would like to know how much we would need to look at paying for a 2 bedroom house with a small garden. We are flexible about which parts of Chiswick eg. N or S of the A4 although we do like Turnham Green. What are the nice parts of Chiswick and are there any parts that we should avoid. Looking forward to your responses and thank you.

Flexible Garden Rooms
For those who work from home, or have a hobby which requires a dedicated workspace, or simply work in bustling, stressful environments and wish they could have an office somewhere more relaxing, Ecospace can help. The creative, adaptable, functional structures they have developed can be erected in a matter of days and comply with British housing regulations - though not necessarily with the same stressful planning permission battles. The company are the experts in their field, a group of architects and craftsmen who combine their skills to produce stylish, eco-friendly garden buildings.
These structures are cheaper than a traditional build and look less out of place in a garden. They are more inhabitable than a summerhouse or converted outbuilding, designed specifically to be like an extension of your home that is completely divided from it. The aesthetically striking exterior is made from cedar cladding, sustainably sourced, of course, and the roof can be flat, mono-pitched, or double pitched, with an optional sedum finish for those who truly want their garden rooms to blend in.
In addition to these exterior ecological considerations, the impact on the earth is shrunk further still on the inside, with high-standard insulation and Scandinavian double glazing which exceeds British standards and will prevent the warmth from escaping even in deepest winter.
If whatever function these garden rooms are intended to fulfil cannot be carried out within the confines of the set sizes of 2.5m by 1.9m, 3.1m x 2.5m, 4.0m by 3.8m, 5.2m by 3.8m, 6.4m by 3.8m, or 7.6m by 3.8m, then call the company for a chat, as they love a challenge. Other sizes and shapes can be designed and built with imagination and consultation. Once all the necessary arrangements are in place, the garden buildings themselves can be constructed in mere days, and come with a 5-year guarantee as standard.
