Light bulbs in my exterior pole light burn out within days. What's going on?
I moved into my house a year ago. There is an exterior pole lamp mounted in the yard near some stone stairs. Regular incandescent bulbs burn out after only about 10 days (lit for only about 1-2 hours/day). I put in a 5-year low-energy flourescent bulb, which lasted 2-3 months.
What can cause an electrical light to burn out bulbs so quickly? What should I do to repair it?
check the voltage if it is over 110-120 volts this will cause the bulbs to burn out to fast. I would take the bulbs back as they are guaranteed to last. You can try Halogen bulbs which may last longer
