3. Lime Oil
Lime is extracted from the rind or skin of the lime and it evaporates very quickly. Lime oil is wonderful non-oily carrier oil used in aromatherapy for its properties of being easily absorbed into the skin while toning the skin tissue. Lime oil also has properties of being an antidepressant and an antiseptic. Lime oil leaves your skin feeling refreshed and re-energized.
Citrus carrier oils, because of their nature should be stored in a dry, cool dark area to keep them deteriorating to quickly.

What do I feed citrus trees (in oak barrels) to turn the foilage from light green to dark green?
I live in Redding CA. This June, planted 14 citrus trees in oak barrels using potting soil. Have fed them with citrus food. But they just are not a healthy green.

Besides doing all the things suggested by others, check out the soil's "pH".
If it's higher than 6.5, it probably is not able to utilize hardly any of the fertilizers you're adding.
Citrus trees grow in a more "acid" type soil, (lower pH) than let's say, apple or cherry trees.
I bet that one factor I've said will change everything for the better with your trees.
