Blue LED light is the most popular color LED
The beauty of any LED lightbar is they are virtually maintenance free and more importantly they are very energy efficient. Most law enforcement agency vehicles will have a lightbar on them and in most cases; there will be Blue LED light incorporated into that lightbar. The two reasons alone on maintenance and energy saving was enough to get most agencies and emergency services interested in LED lightbars. The LED lightbars were not very common until fairly recently as they were very expensive to buy.
Blue LED light is very popular in lightbars because of its high visibility in most weather and light conditions. As to the benefit of LED lights on a vehicle there really isn't too much to go wrong with them. Unlike other forms of lighting LED lights have no moving parts and the LED bulbs themselves will give a massive number of hours burn time. The LED lightbars are so energy efficient they produce little drain on battery power, and that is crucial to emergency vehicles. The older type of halogen bulbs often needed to be replaced and that was a cost implication as well as a vehicle down time implication.
LED lights are easy to install in many of the LED units and that is also another plus for this type of lighting, Blue LED light is mainly used on lightbars with other colours. It's rare you would just see a Blue LED light bar in operation, although it is a possibility. The colours in lightbars can be mixed and matched depending on your area of work and department. The power used by Blue LED light or indeed any other colour LED light is significantly less than strobe or halogen light. Studies show that LED light draws far less power and that means that radios, in-car computers, radar etc can all be used as well as the full range of emergency lighting on the vehicle.
One thing you will notice about any LED light is they are incredibly bright. The output of light is far higher, and this gives maximum visibility. The Blue LED light is particularly bright giving an icy piercing light, which can be invaluable in highlighting a stationary vehicle. LED light units can be programmed easily to various different flash patterns and even to display direction arrows to direct traffic. The old lighting units on emergency vehicles were not as sophisticated, which is why they have steadily been replaced.
Interestingly Blue LED light isn't blue! LED light is colourless and the colour comes from the cover. LED lighting units and lightbars can be manufactured to be very low profile on a vehicle and this can also help with fuel consumption, as there is less drag. The fitting of Blue LED light and other LED units on vehicles is possible because the costs have come down significantly in recent years. LED lighting was once prohibitively priced as it wasn't made in vast numbers. As to the Blue LED light, it is now something you will see everywhere, in homes, in workplaces and of course on emergency vehicle lightbars.

History of Christmas Lights and Blue LED Christmas Lights
The first strands of lights were created by Thomas Edison and then were made into a Christmas decoration in 1880 when they were strung up outside of Menlo Park Laboratory. While many people were fascinated by this display, it was almost 40 years before the tradition of Christmas lights caught on. In 1882 Edward Johnson strung together the first string of lights consisting of eighty red, white and blue light bulbs and placed them on his Christmas tree for illumination.
Although many people were again impressed by the use of lights, most people were not trusting of electricity so this was another concept that took years to catch on. Once President Grover Cleveland made the White House staff use electric lights on their family Christmas tree. Following President Cleveland, President Coolidge had the outside of the White House decorated, leading the public to begin using electric lights as a decoration. The original bulbs were large and energy consuming although they did not produce much light. As the light bulb evolved, they became more energy efficient and started to shrink in size. Just in the past few years, LED lights have become a popular choice for indoor and outdoor decoration.
Why have people made the switch from traditional bulbs? Well for one, LEDs are a huge energy saver when compared to traditional bulbs because they require less output than their larger predecessors and they also put out less heat making them a safer buy for a family with young children. The bulbs also last longer also adding to their cost efficiency. The strands of bulbs can be used season after season and no longer does an entire strand have to be replaced if one bulb goes out.
The use of blue Christmas lights became very popular in the 60's. At that time the bulbs were very large, several inches long in fact and at least an inch around. They did provide a lot of light but were not at all energy efficient. Over time the use of blue lights died out and were replaced by the multi coloured strands also large in size and then later replaced by the plain white lights which over time got smaller and smaller. Interestingly, the large coloured bulbs came back into style a few years ago, followed by the famous blue lights of the 60's only much smaller!
Now with LED's becoming the most popular style of light on the market, the Christmas decorations have become a whole lot more vibrant! From a rope of single lights to a strand of icicle lights, there is an array of blue LED Christmas lights for any decorating desire. Blue LED Christmas lights come in a variety of shapes and sizes ranging from the traditional candle flame shape to round globe shapes. Blue lights can be mixed with other colours such as red or white for a dramatic decorating effect. With all of the listed positives of the blue LED Christmas lights, why would you use anything else?
